So much has happened since my trip to Door County!
     Here are some views of Miss Mable, our little Sunline camper... all painted up and in her " glamping " glory...oh, did I mention I am now Sister #3968  a member of Sisters on the Fly!

This was my maiden voyage by myself... hooking and unhooking the trailer, hauling, setting up camp and more!  One week in Door County Wisconsin, no internet, no phone service and plenty of time to enjoy the solitude.  I got the hitching up process and breaking down the camp ... down to 20 minutes flat!

Thanks to Bearcats in Algoma for the smoked salmon and cheese and crackers that helped sustain me and for the Vivas Vintage Market for the funding!  Did the Market on a Saturday... and sustained for the week ... for the Plein Air Fest... where I SOLD my painting!

 I have so many things I want to decorate her with! So much fun to find things for her interior and exterior too!

     For the awning on the exterior, I am looking in to Marti's Awnings.  Still deciding on the color scheme for that... but I am sure it will have something to do with orange, yellow and turquoise.

    I had fun with a vintage pantone paint chip sample I found years ago...for the colors on the interior.  I was unable to find just what I was looking for in the modern paints so I brought the chip to the home depot!  I found that Behr paint worked best.  Dutch boy was way too thick. but we used it for the exterior blue and yellow stripe.  Thinking of adding a silver stripe below the yellow, and above the yellow... a pinstripe of ORANGE.  How delightful! :)

Our vintage travel trailer... A peek at our progress

(see the updated views from 2015 here)I have been working day and night to complete our little travel trailer  for her maiden voyage to Nada farms Spring Event 2013, this weekend.

As you can see, she is still a work in progress... but getting closer!

  Tonight my friend Cindi will be helping me create cushion covers in white vinyl with orange and yellow piping. And some cute curtains too!

  Can't wait to share the end results with you!

Our Little Camper... Help us decide.

This is our little Sunline Camper.  Originally designed to "sleep 5"... maybe with 2 on the floor and one standing up in the bathroom.  She is 12 1/2 feet in length, including the tongue.  This is her photo album... many from the day I found her.  We purchased our little trailer in Bristol, Wisconsin (from a gent who was featured on American Pickers, season one episode 12)  We are trying to decide a theme.  I have had the cream, green and cherry red on my mind for a while now...

Now I am loving brighter colors, yellows, blues, oranges, thinking a "campy" theme, incorporating woolen blankets,  pillows with pennants.  We have even thought about painting the outside of the camper plaid.   It is just a thought.  I have seen polka-dots, stripes and more.  I have NEVER seen a plaid paint theme.   Whatever it will be... I hope it will be something that turns heads and leaves people with a smile on their face.  Afterall, we want to use it to set up at some  future vintage shows. We  can't wait to get started.  We just need cooler days and a weekend where I can pull Tony from his favorite place to hang out and "camp out" in our own back yard.

So much to consider.  Tony has worked to be sure there are no more leaks, We are debating the flooring color, what to do with the walls,  windows, outside trim, paint, to pinstripe or not to pinstripe?  So many wonderful ideas!
